Madikwe Safari Lodge

The bushveld of South Africa offers a tranquil serenity and sense of peace that few destinations around the world can rival. Madikwe, aptly named “Africa in its majesty,” is nestled in the uniquely picturesque and malaria-free North West Province, near the Botswana border. It stands as one of the largest and most exclusive private game reserves in South Africa.

Madikwe’s landscape transitions from wooded hills to flat savannah plains, characterized by rich red earth and dense sekelbos thickets. As you venture further west into the expansive 75,000-hectare reserve, the terrain evolves into dry, yellow-sanded Kalahari plains. This diverse ecosystem is home to Africa’s renowned Big Five, as well as a plethora of other mammal species, freely roaming the varied biomes of the reserve.
