In May 2004, Dr. Chai Patel and his family fulfilled a lifelong dream by acquiring The Royal Madikwe. Born in Uganda, Chai’s early memories are steeped in love for Africa, and it’s with profound joy that he returns to his roots to establish a new home. This endeavor not only promises guests unforgettable experiences but also allows Chai to reinvest in his native continent.

Our vision at The Royal Madikwe extends beyond luxury eco-tourism; we prioritize health and education. Twenty percent of all profits are channeled into local community projects, empowering guests to make a meaningful impact simply by enjoying a superb holiday. Through this economic vehicle, we strive to effect real change by reinvesting in local community initiatives. We are staunch advocates of responsible tourism, seamlessly integrating tourism, environmental stewardship, and local economic development.

Rates at The Royal Madikwe encompass accommodation, morning and evening game drives, three daily meals, bush/nature walks (subject to availability), selected house drinks, teas and coffees, transfers to/from Madikwe Western Airstrip, and engaging kids activities.
